The lives of the saint are a great entry into a larger historical perspective of the faith. I think a lot of modern American Christians have a hard time imagining people of deep faith in a pre-reformation world. <br /><br />I guess March is great time to fall in love with St. Patrick. It was not well-received by my principal or parents, but I fell in love with St Patrick that March. I believe learning more about his life in Christ was my first step towards becoming Orthodox myself. I'll definitely read this book.Katienoreply@blogger.com
